Ajax Crews’ Virtual Simulation Training

Forces News | A new, £17 million training facility is being built at Warminster Garrison for the British Army’s Ajax armoured vehicle fleet. The facility will provide high-tech, virtual simulations for drivers, gunners, and other crew members. The goal is to modernise training infrastructure, reduce the need for live training, and ultimately cut operational costs. The facility is a key part of the Ajax programme, which has faced challenges due to noise and vibration issues. However, the programme has made significant progress and the Ajax family of vehicles, with its six variants, should offer the British Army increased operational flexibility and reduced logistics costs.
