Digital Twins Enhance Agri-Robot Navigation

AZoRobotics | Researchers combined LoRa (long-range wireless) communication, simulation environments, digital twins, and IoRT (Internet of Robotic Things) to improve agricultural robot navigation in complex settings. Their system used a digital twin for real-time monitoring and guidance, demonstrating efficient teleoperation over 3000 meters and validated the method’s effectiveness in enhancing safety and situational awareness for remote operations. Further research was suggested to address challenges such as latency and also to explore broader applications such as disaster response, search and rescue, and exploration.
