Eagle Eye XR for the US Army
⊲ Road to VR ⊳ In an interview with Ashlee Vance at AWE USA 2025, Palmer Luckey detailed Eagle Eye, Anduril’s XR helmet for the US military as a successor to the IVAS project. Built as a full helmet replacement, it combines ballistic protection, radios, AI, and high-end sensors, using multiple microdisplays per eye. Built with Meta’s tech, it prioritises performance over polish, costing over $10,000. Luckey confirmed that prototypes already exist and will be delivered to the Army this year. The project marks a post-Oculus reunion with Meta, focused on battlefield innovation.
