⊲ The Verge ⊳ Valve is quietly funding open‑source tools that make Windows PC games run on Arm‑based devices. Valve’s Pierre-Loup Griffais spoke to The Verge and explained that hey are backing open-source efforts to run Windows PC games on Arm devices using Proton and a new x86-to-Arm emulator called FEX. This stack could allow SteamOS to function on phones, tablets and future Arm desktops, broadening Steam’s reach beyond x86 hardware.
