Latest Speculation on Apple’s XR Plans

⊲ Road to VR ⊳ Independent tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple plans to release several XR devices and smart glasses by 2028. A new version of the Vision Pro headset with an upgraded chip is expected in late 2025, while a lighter headset called Vision Air is set for 2027. Apple is also developing smart glasses with audio features and an AI assistant, aiming for a release in 2027. The first true AR glasses from Apple are anticipated in late 2028. Notwithstanding that Kuo is a long-time tech analyst and respected figure in Apple product leaks, the claims are speculative.
