RAF Tests AR-Supported Training

The RAF has tested Red 6‘s Advanced Tactical Augmented Reality Systems (ATARS) in Hawk T2 aircraft at RAF Valley, in partnership with BAE Systems. This system allows pilots to engage with virtual adversaries and allies during live flights. ATARS’s interoperable, adaptive capabilities could enhance training quality, lower costs, and improve readiness, aligning with RAF strategies to sustain a combat edge and integrate advanced technologies in frontline training.
