Reservists Training Scaling Up
⊲ The Korea Herald ⊳The Korean Army is scaling up virtual reality and digital monitoring across its reserve training network to sharpen combat readiness. At the Seocho Reserve Training Center in Seoul, reservists use a three-sided VR simulator recreating real city locations, including Hannam Bridge and Coex, to practise identifying threats while avoiding civilians. Sensor helmets and electronic vests vibrate on impact to mimic battlefield injuries. Upgraded CPR mannequins transmit real-time Bluetooth data to instructors. Twenty-nine tech-integrated centres operate nationwide, with five more due to open this year toward a long-term goal of forty.
