Simulation & AI Disrupt Manned Fighter Jets?

Sri Lanka Guardian ⊳ German firm, Helsing, has unveiled the CA-1 “Europa”, a four-ton, 11 metre fighter jet designed to operate without a pilot and execute AI-guided combat missions. Tested virtually over Pskov, Russia, the system outperformed veteran human pilots, condensing decades of flying experience into a fraction of the time. The project envisions swarms of unmanned jets operating within military networks, while leaving strike decisions under human control. Designed to be cheaper than traditional fighters, promising high manoeuvrability and swarm capability at a fraction of the $100+ million cost of manned jets. Test flights are expected from 2027, with potential deployment five years later.
