VR Supporting a More Robotic Future

InavateResearchers at the University of Georgia have developed a virtual reality training system called VR Co-Lab to help employees learn how to work safely with robots, particularly in disassembly tasks for recycling electronics. This system allows users to practice in a virtual environment, where they can disassemble items like hard disks without damaging materials or risking injury. The system offers step-by-step instruction, performance feedback, and real-time body tracking to coordinate with robotic arms, reducing the risk of injury and accelerating training without relying on extensive manuals.
