Escape from Physical Confinement
⊲ The Guardian ⊳ In California, an initiative led by Creative Acts is using VR to help inmates in solitary confinement experience external worlds and process their emotions. Inmates engage in immersive VR activities for four hours daily, followed by art exercises to reflect on feelings triggered by these experiences. Participants have found the VR sessions transformative, providing them with insights into their emotions and coping mechanisms. The initiative aims to reduce tensions in prisons and prepare inmates for reintegration after release.
