Global VR/MR Sales in 2024

▶ Source – PCMag ▶ In 2024, VR and MR headset shipments were 9.6 million, led by Meta’s Quest 3 and 3S commanding a 73% share. Sony’s PS VR2 follows with 9%, likely hindered by limited compatibility. Apple’s Vision Pro secured 5%, its high price and lack of applications may have held back sales. Looking forward, Apple is expected to adopt a two-pronged strategy for its VR/MR headsets, releasing both a budget headset and a higher-end device as early as 2026.
