Warfighters See Through Skin

Army AL&T Magazine ⊳The US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) has created an augmented reality tool for IVAS goggles that lets medics and corpsmen overlay 3D anatomical visuals and access key triage steps during treatment. It includes video-based expert demonstrations and integrates reference guides directly into the view. The tool has already been demonstrated at several Army, National Guard and Navy sites, but is currently being evaluated for transition to the U.S. Marine Corps, with assessments now underway to gauge its practical impact during extended field use.
