Neuralink Trials Hit The UK

Reuters ⊳ Neuralink will begin a UK clinical study with the University College London Hospitals trust and Newcastle Hospitals to test brain implants that help people with severe paralysis control tools using thought alone. Candidates include those with spinal cord injuries or ALS. Neuralink began human trials in 2024 after overcoming initial FDA concerns and has raised $1.3 billion to date and is valued at roughly $9 billion. Five patients are currently using the implant to interact with digital and physical devices.
