China’s Transparent Tank Armour & Eye Targeting

⊲ Defence Blog ⊳ China is developing AR headsets for tank and armoured vehicle crews, offering real-time 360° vision and overlaid data via a transparent HUD. Tested on the ZTZ-201 tank, the prototype allows crew to “see through” their vehicle armour and also enables gunners to aim weapons simply by looking at targets. The system enhances battlefield awareness and reduces role-switching delays, indicating China’s growing emphasis on digital integration in armoured warfare.
