
Smart Glasses, New Features, Higher Cost
⊲ Engadget ⊳ Meta and EssilorLuxottica have unveiled two new Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses styles, the Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics, starting at $499. Both feature slimmer frames, swappable nosepads, adjustable temple tips and compatibility with prescription and progressive lenses. The glasses go on sale on 14 April and will be stocked at EssilorLuxottica retail partners. Meta is adding translation support for Japanese, Mandarin and Arabic, along with food and nutrition tracking and message thread summarisation across all existing frames.
