LAPD Embraces VR-Based Pilot Training

⊲ Halldale ⊳ The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has introduced VR-based training for its pilots, becoming the first U.S. law enforcement agency to do so. They have installed a VR flight simulator from Loft Dynamics, already approved by aviation authorities (the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)). This technology allows pilots to train in realistic scenarios, enhancing their skills and readiness for various situations like high-speed chases and emergency landings.
