New Steam Frame Wireless XR Headset

⊲ Thurrott ⊳ Valve has opened waitlist sign-ups for its Steam Frame XR headset, pricing the 256GB base model at $1059/£889/€1049 and a 1TB version at $1299/£1089/€1279. The wireless device runs SteamOS on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Series chip with 16GB RAM, features 2160 x 2160 per eye LCD displays and 72 to 144Hz refresh rates, and includes camera based eye tracking. Buyers receive a free copy of Half Life: Alyx. Valve developer Jeremy Selan attributed the pricing partly to a global RAM and storage shortage.
