SME Partnership Advances Military Simulation

⊲ DSEI Gateway ⊳ Finnish VR/XR hardware maker Varjo and Irish simulation data company VRAI announced a joint military training platform at ITEC 2026 in London. The system combines Varjo’s mixed reality headsets, which track eye movement and biometric data, with VRAI’s HEAT data platform to give instructors near real-time performance dashboards. The partnership also calculates cognitive load, offering a physiological read on trainee experience. Varjo separately showcased counter-UAS simulation technology and recently secured a EUR7.4m contract to train Ukrainian tank crews.
