$60m Simulation Startup Targets Physical AI
⊲ TechCrunch ⊳ New York’s Develop autonomy at the speed of software startup Antioch, has raised an $8.5 million seed round at a $60 million valuation to build simulation tools for robot developers. The company aims to close the “sim-to-real gap”, creating virtual environments realistic enough that robots trained within them perform reliably in the physical world. Likening its product to the coding tool Cursor, Antioch lets developers spin up digital replicas of their hardware and test them against simulated sensors. Its focus covers autonomous vehicles, drones, and agricultural and construction machinery.
