Car HUDs Without the Display

⊲ Repairer Driven News ⊳ Jaguar Land Rover is trialling nanophotonic lens technology from AllFocal Optics that beams images directly onto the retina, maintaining clarity regardless of vision. The aim is to reduce driver refocusing and improve reaction times. In partnership with Cambridge University’s CAPE, JLR is also advancing a HUD system with depth-enhancing AR features and has filed five patents. Other companies, like Porsche and Hyundai, are also innovating HUDs to provide clearer and more useful information to drivers.
