Trending Towards 50:50 Live:Simulator

⊲ Varjo ⊳ Korea Aerospace Industries has spent two decades building an indigenous fighter pilot training pipeline around its T-50 Golden Eagle, exported across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. The company designs the aircraft and its full-dome simulator together, delivered to the Republic of Korea Air Force in 2005. Pilots complete mandatory simulator hours and ground evaluations before flying, with simulator time now recognised as flight hours. KAI adopted Varjo XR-4 headsets for their resolution, and expects the training split to reach fifty-fifty with live flying.
A target of fifty-fifty between simulator and live flying, voiced by KyuCheol Ko, points to where fighter training budgets may move next.
