Living 3D Model of the Earth Created

⊲ PR Newswire ⊳ Aechelon Technology has successfully integrated Vantor’s 3D operational terrain into its Project Orbion, enhancing ICEYE’s space-based synthetic aperture radar (SAR) capabilities. Aechelon’s Project Orbin is “a living synthesis of real-time satellite imagery, radar intelligence, video photogrammetry and AI all combined with the most accurate rendition of the Earth”. This collaboration enables the transformation of SAR data into accurate 3D visualisations, supporting time-sensitive missions. The system combines real-time satellite imagery with a continuously updated 3D spatial foundation, providing a comprehensive digital twin of Earth. Aechelon Technology has been selected to provide the US Air Force’s SCARS Common Database Baseline. The partnership aims to advance geospatial intelligence for defence and other sectors, with a live demonstration scheduled for I/ITSEC 2025.
