AI Coaches Humans in Real Time

⊲ UNC College of Arts & Sciences ⊳ Researchers at the University of North Carolina are exploring how AI could help people learn practical skills through real-time guidance. Led by computer science professor Gedas Bertasius, the work focuses on systems that observe human actions, compare them with expert behaviour, and provide immediate feedback during practice. Using video analysis and deep learning, the research aims to deliver personalised coaching drawn from expert knowledge. The approach could support learning in areas including sport, technical training and everyday tasks.
