Battlefield Vision Platform Unveiled

⊲ Distance Technologies ⊳ Helsinki-based deep-tech startup Distance Technologies has launched Acuity, a visual intelligence platform built on its new Acuity OS, designed to connect sensors, battle management systems and machine intelligence into a single tactical picture for military operators. Shown at Eurosatory 2026 with partners including Supacat and General Dynamics, the platform fuses data across spectra, including infrared and thermal imagery, into a three dimensional layer using an OpenXR runtime. Distance says deployments with partners will begin later in 2026. Fusing infrared, thermal and BMS data into one HUD layer raises the bar for what operators will expect from future vehicle platforms.
