Gaussian Splatting Meets Autonomous Vehicles

Bosch UKFive AI, the UK Cambridge based automated vehicle technology provider owned by Bosch, will develop a photorealistic simulation tool combining Gaussian scene reconstruction with diffusion based generative AI. Funded through the UK Government’s £150 million CAM Pathfinder programme, the technology converts real world imagery into renderable 3D environments and generates varied lighting, weather and scene conditions. It will support development of Level 2++ and Level 3 automation, feeding into a wider Bosch Mobility platform intended eventually to train and validate Level 4 autonomous vehicle systems.
