New Smart Glasses Won’t be Cheap

⊲ The Verge ⊳ Meta is set to release a new version of its smart glasses, called Hypernova, by the end of this year. These glasses will feature a built-in screen on the right lens, allowing users to run apps and view photos through hand gestures and touch controls. The Hypernova will cost between $1,000 and $1,400, significantly more than the current model, which starts at $299. An improved camera and AI chatbot functionality will also be included. A future version, Hypernova 2, is expected to launch in 2027 with two screens.
