Simulators Ease India’s Training Pressure

⊲ Halldale Group ⊳ India’s Air Force is expanding simulation-based training as it prepares for major fleet growth, yet shortages and delays affecting trainer aircraft continue to restrict pilot production. Trainee intake has nearly doubled, supported by revised syllabi and greater simulator use. New HTT-40 trainers will place around 30% of training tasks in simulators, alongside new Jaguar and helicopter simulators. However, delayed trainer deliveries, the Yashas evaluation and Hawk modernisation will influence how quickly sufficient aircrew can be generated.
