Sony’s 3D Screens Go OpenXR

Sony’s 3D Screens Go OpenXR

Mixed-News ⊳ Sony has expanded its Spatial Reality Display line, introducing larger 27-inch and 54-inch models. The major leap is the integration of OpenXR, allowing access to industry-standard 3D content such as Autodesk, NVIDIA Omniverse, Blender, Unreal and Unity. This shift supports smoother workflows for creators, engineers, and designers without the need for VR headsets, strengthening the displays’ role in professional modelling, simulation, and visualisation environments. Such a capability comes at a price though, at around $5,000.
