Joint Simulation Environment Advances Manned-Unmanned Teaming
⊲ The Aviationist ⊳ The U.S. Navy is using the Joint Simulation Environment to train F-35 pilots in controlling Collaborative Combat Aircraft during simulated missions. The system allows pilots to test tactics, procedures and manned-unmanned teaming concepts in a high-fidelity virtual battlespace before live operations. Using tablet-based interfaces, pilots can task multiple uncrewed aircraft, supporting the development of operational concepts for integrating CCAs with fifth-generation fighters in contested environments.
