Fifteen Year £2 Billion Training Contract

Halldale Group ⊳ Omnia Training, a Raytheon UK-led consortium including Capita, Cervus, Rheinmetall UK, and Skyral, has secured a £2bn, 15-year contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to deliver the British Army’s Collective Training System. The programme will introduce AI, advanced analytics and virtual environments to train around 60,000 soldiers each year. James Gray of Raytheon UK said the team would bring new levels of training realism through collaboration with the Army. The contract is expected to create 270 jobs and sustain a further 150.
Fifteen years is a long horizon and as the nature of warfare changes rapidly the consortium will need to react promptly and effectively to changing Army’s training doctrine and priorities.
