“Sim Pods” for British Army Drone Training

Halldale Group ⊳ Skua Defence Limited and UFDS EU have partnered to bring Ukrainian Fight Drone Simulator, a Ukraine-developed UAS training system, to UK and allied forces. UFDS has trained more than 7,000 operational Ukrainian drone pilots and covers reconnaissance, strike, dropper and interceptor platforms, including contested environments. Its latest release adds multi-platform functionality for coordinated drone operations. Skua will integrate UFDS into soldier training through deployable sim pods usable on base or during exercises. CEO James Westlake said simulation offers a scalable route to build drone competence across the British Army.
Deployable sim pods suggest the British Army wants drone competence built quickly across many units rather than a handful of specialists.
