Simulator Supports Ukraine Air Defences

⊲ Euromaidan Press ⊳ Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has approved a domestic laser simulator for training operators of the FIM-92 Stinger missile system, developed by Skiftech. This simulator allows crews to practice without the high costs of live missiles, which range from $120,000 to $150,000 each. It replicates the Stinger’s weight and operational procedures, enabling comprehensive training on target detection and engagement. As Western Stinger stocks age and supply issues arise, this simulator aims to enhance training efficiency against changing threats while preserving live munitions for combat.
