VR-Based Drone Countermeasure Training

⊲ DSEI Gateway ⊳ Australian company Operator XR, founded in 2021, unveiled its ‘Interceptor’ counter-drone training platform at ITEC 2026 in London. The virtual reality system trains military and law enforcement personnel across the full detect-identify-track-defeat kill chain, offering unlimited configurable threat scenarios, a library of drone types from swarms to first-person-view craft, and a range of countermeasure options. Requiring no static infrastructure, it can be deployed immediately. Tested with personnel from more than five countries, the system has attracted strong interest from multiple potential customers.
